The New Stubbs Baby!!!

Andrew & Tawnie Stubbs baby girl was born today.  Karlee and Brooklyn are excited to welcome their younger sister Izabel into the family.  Izabel weighed in at 7 pounds 8 ounces, and is 20 inches long.  Mom and baby are doing fine. The Stubb's family live at 135 West 700 North.

Mid-week Activity for Relief Society

Just a reminder of our Relief Society Activity on Thursday May 12th @ 7:00 p.m.

Our next mid-week activity for Relief Society will be held on Thursday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m.  If you are a great gardener, or are just learning, do we have an activity for you!  Come share your ideas, questions, success's and disaster's of gardening with us.  Some of what we discuss could also be used for flower pots & flower gardens.

Ana Batty from Morning Glory Produce will be coming to give us a class on Gardening.  We hope that you will be able to come and support Sister Batty as she takes time from her busy spring gardening schedule to teach us, and answer any questions you may have on gardening. 

Even if you do not have a garden spot, but need to plant in containers, borrow space in a friend or neighbors garden spot, or use space at the community gardens,  this class can help you become more self-reliant as you and your family grow some of your own food.  This class isn't just for those with "green-thumbs", even if you think you have a 'brown or black-thumb' you are welcome to come and share your experiences (or disaster's) with us, and learn some new techniques to gardening in all aspects.

We will be at the chapel, in the Relief Society Room. It will start at 7:00 p.m. We are not planning on a nursery this month, as the last two months, we have had young women in the nursery, and no children came for them to spend time with.

Funeral Services for Kathleen Siddoway

The Viewing for Sister Siddoway will be held on Thursday night, at the Blackburn Mortuary (Vernal Avenue & 100 North, across from the 7-Eleven) from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  The funeral will be held at the Vernal 5th ward chapel Friday May 13th, at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing 1 hour prior in the Relief Society room.

 

The Dinner for the family will also be held at the Vernal 5th ward chapel, after the family returns from the cemetery.  We are planning on at least 100 people, so we need to add to the list that was sent around in church on Sunday.  Sister Stagg will be calling to see who else may be able to help, or please call her ASAP at 789-2479 to volunteer. 

 

If your husbands can help set up tables and chairs on Thursday night, have them call Brother Brenton Cook.

Funeral Services for Kathleen Siddoway

We wanted to let you know that Sister Siddoway passed away today, Saturday, May 7th.  She lived on 800 West, across from Brother Sharp, and Next to the Ottesen family.  She has been sick for a while, and has steadily been losing her strength.  Sister Siddoway taught at the Middle School before she retired, in case some of you remember her from there.

The Funeral will possibly be on Friday, The family will meet on Monday to make all the final decisions.  When we find out the date and times of the viewing and the funeral, we will let you know.

There will be a family dinner after the funeral. At this time we are not sure of how many family member's will be attending the dinner. Sister Hannah will be sending a list around on Sunday morning. We will need potato casseroles, different kinds of salads, cakes, and rolls.  We will also need help in the kitchen.  If you are unable to sign up and want to help, please let Sister Denece Lefevre (789-9483) or Sister Stagg (789-2479) and they will let you know what to bring.  We can always use volunteers and your service is much appreciated by the family's at times like this. 

COME OUT TO DINNER

DON'T FORGET THIS TUESDAY, THE 3RD, TO COME AND SUPPORT THE YOUNG WOMEN IN THE SPAGHETTI DINNER FUNDRAISER.  THERE WILL ALSO BE DESSERT.  TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY AND NEIGHBORS.  IT STARTS @ 6:30PM AND ENDS AT 8:30PM.  COST IS $5.00 FOR A SINGLE PERSON, $10.00 PER COUPLE, $20.00 FOR A FAMILY OF 5 AND $25.00 FOR A FAMILY OF 6 OR MORE.  HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE!!!!

The New Cook Baby!!!

Andrea and Brenton Cook had their baby this morning (Thursday, 04/28) at 7:30.  He weighed 7 pounds and 2 ounces and is 21 inches long.  His name is Kasen.  Mom and baby will be coming home on Friday 04-29, Brenton said that with both families helping out, there is not a worry about them going hungry!  (You could probably call, or stop by to see how they are doing in a few days or so.)

 

The New Pierce Baby!!!

Thought that you would like to know that Anne & Nelson Pierce welcomed a son to their family on Tuesday April 26th!  Liam Alexander Pierce weighed in at 8 pounds 14 ounces, and was 22 inches long.  Jane mentioned this morning that mom and baby were doing fine, and would be home this afternoon, Thursday 04/28.  If you would like to help welcome this new little one into the world, and help mom and dad for the next few days, contact Sister Betty Stagg at 789-2479 to help bring in meals the next few days (through Monday).  Anne & Nelson are living with Jane for now, at 611 North 200 West. Anne's phone #: 970-683-1158, Nelson's is 970-683-1156.  Jane said she did not know of any food allergies, but that Anne has been dealing with Gestational Diabetes, but that Nelson would be glad to eat whatever she could not.
